Work Schedule
The work schedule defines the capacity of employees. This feature allows you to set different capacities for different periods and support cases such as the transition of an employee from hourly to full-time salaried.
In the example below, Steven Jackson has an hourly schedule from his start work date to Nov. 30th, and a weekly schedule from Dec. 1st, according to which he works Monday through Thursday for 8 hours per day and Friday for 4 hours.
This feature does not require you to set the work schedule for each employee; you can set it on the organization or the group level. Use setting schedules on the employee level if you need to define a specific case, as in the example above.
Work schedule has the following prioritization: Employee → Groups → Organization
Under the first priority, the employee's work schedule is applied to the employee. If the employee-level work schedule is not set, then the schedule of the groups to which this employee belongs is applied. If the group-level work schedule is not also set, the organization work schedule is applied to the employee.
Note: You can set the work schedule on the organization level in Settings > Schedule.
Holiday Schedules
You can set the list of holidays at the organization, group, or employee level.
All of these holidays are non-working days. Employee capacity is reduced to zero on holidays. Depending on how many holidays there are in a month, the capacity will be reduced accordingly.
Holiday schedules feature the following prioritization: Employee → Groups → Organization
Under the first priority, the employees' holiday schedule is applied to the employee. If the employee-level holiday schedule is not set, then the schedule of the groups to which this employee belongs is applied. If the group-level holiday schedule is not also set, the organization holiday schedule is then applied to the employee.
Note: You can set the holiday schedule on the organization level in Settings > Schedule.
