Metric.ai provides a flexible and easy way for your organization planning (resource scheduling).
The Planning tab is available under these sections of the app:
- Organization
- Project
- Employees
- Departments
- Roles
- Offices
- Companies
The Planning interface consists of 3 main parts:
Time Range Selector
The time range selector is universal across Metric.ai.
It consists of 3 sections:
- Time range template dropdown (custom range is the last option)
- Selected time range dropdown (works for any selected template)
- Next and previous period buttons (works for any selected period)
Time Range Template Dropdown
The most common time ranges are listed in the time range template dropdown.
Depending on your situation, select:
- Week — good for past or next week time tracking and allocation overview
- 30 Days — good for near-future planning with the exact number of days
- Month — good for past or next calendar month overview
- 90 Days — as fixed days number alternative for a quarter
- Quarter — traditional calendar quarters:
- Q1 is January–March
- Q2 is April–June
- Q3 is July–September
- Q4 is October–December
- Custom period — any selected date range
After selecting the time range template, use the left and right arrows to go to the previous or next selected period:

With any time range template, you can see the actual dates or months selected:
If you want to change the actual date range, click on the dropdown and change the selection of the start and end dates (click on the start date and after click on the end date):
